Welcome to the blog of a 17yearoldgirl, where she posts her mindless musings and ramifications. This is extremely private; cos this is where she dreams, sleeps and cries. She lives.
"We can catch buses and count our change and cross the roads and talk real sentences. but our innocence goes awfully deep, and our discreditable secret is that we don’t know anything at all, and our horrid inner secret is that we don’t care that we don’t."
Night Festival 08 Part I
Sunday, July 20, 2008, 6:51 PM
I went to the Night Festival at National Museum yesterday to watch an outdoor performance named The Dancing Sky by Studio Festi, a performance troupe from Italy. They were very very very very GOOD. Totally loved the entire length of the performance, the lights, the music, and artistic value were all great. The reason I named this as Part I only was because I am SO going to next weekend's night festival!!! It's the ZOUK BEATNIK PARTY, celebrating hip hop culture on the 26 july. There will be hip hop and graffiti art competitions going on simultaneously, as well as rapping and beatboxing. If you wanna go too, please tell me!
I've uploaded all my photos onto Photobucket and edited them using my super cool (secret) online photo editing tool, so now they look even more beatiful. Enjoy the photos (and one video)! The pictures are in order of appearance throughout the show. But I didn't include the first dance because I didn't manage to get good photos for it ):
NOTE: Please do not steal any of the photos from my blog! I had to stand in the crowds painstakingly to take them, upload them on Photobucket, and then edit then before putting it up here on my blog for everyone to enjoy.
National Museum bathed in pink light before the show
The girl is suspended within the ball
This was one of my favourites. The italian opera music was beautiful. The ship and the dance of the girl was great as well.
I apologise for the poor quality of the video! But isn't the ballet dancing on the floating piano just beautiful? There's an actual pianist playing it as well!
Garden Girls. In gigantic skirts, standing 3m tall.
Dance of the Planets. My favourite! It was simply breathtaking, I love the moon balloon the most.
Water display. It was water spraying out from the nozzle and light shown on it to show the lovely face image (:
The water performance. The second picture show her inside the hemisphere pool. Her moves of graceful and flowed together with the water. Very very beautiful (:
The fire performance, after the water one. It presented the power and light of fire and the dance was very strong, with rthymic beats, combined with the many fire effects. I managed to use my photoediting tool to fade out the mass of heads in the background xD
Me and my friend took a picture with the performer shown here afterwards xD But we didn't manage to take a pic with the italian guy, he's a hottie D:
